Happy Magpie Book & Quill (or Happy Magpie for short), is a community literary space that operates on a donation-centered model. That means a few things: Firstly, we accept (and need) donated books. Then, we sell the books on a pay-what-you-can basis. If you can only pay a dime for a book, we’ll happily take the dime and you’ll leave with the book. Finally, we donate a portion of each purchase to a local organization.

Think of Happy Magpie as a micro-economy where used books and generosity are the currency.

Happy Magpie is a place where you can find a new book, attend an open mic or book club, and be part of a workshop with other writers in person. Come check it out!
